Got in the field at 6:15, wasn't long until I heard two gobblers and they were answering my call and seemed to be getting closer, one on each side of me. Finally, after a few hours of them not really moving, just gobbling, I see one come out in the field about 100 yards below me. Not long after a hen comes out and I watch them feed for a couple more hours. I look at my clock at it is 12 so I decide to call it quits, but give it a chance on the way out. I laid down and crawled in the ditch until I was about 25 - 30 yards away and shot the gobbler. He weighed 19 lbs, had around a 10 inch beard, didn't measure the spurs yet but they are large.
