I am not a huge turkey but but do get out. I have always hunted fields in mornings but never hunted evenings. Which is better for afternoon hunts, fields or woods?

    Woods near roosting sites.

I like the fields in the morning the woods midday and then back to the fields. Like to be close to a known roost area of the evenings. That’s just me I use that strategy every time I go into the field

All we have are woods. We hunt mornings more but probably would have just as much success if we headed them off going to their roosting sites in the evening.

Where exactly are these “roosting sites” you speak of?

If you hunt turkeys then you probably have heard them gobble in the mornings, most turkeys will roost in the same areas that you have heard them before!
Where I hunt it's all most always the same couple of spots.
