Bunch of birds, 20-25 behind MILs house in NC. She said they're out every day. One strutting couple of days ago.

So I hunt in the North Central part of the state. We used to, at one time, be the only part of the state with birds. By far the best population. They netted birds from Caswell and relocated all across the state. Now some counties down east have great numbers and ours have suffered. Certain areas of Caswell county that were covered in turkeys 15 years ago have none. Very strange.

The area around my MILs is loaded. Drive to Topsail Bch from her house, you'll see dozens of fields with 30-50 birds each.
