I sold some with Jared Ayer’s at Ayer’s livestock in northern Garrard county. He is buying a ton Of cattle over there and there is no commission to boot. Also sold some in Springfield.

Is this an auction or just a buyer? I couldn't locate the place using Google. I ask because there is a stockyard in Indiana that buys hogs. People bring em in, he looks at em and offers them a price that matches wherever the market is.

There’s a guy in Campbellsville who always has herds of feeder calves or cows for sale on Craigslist. Most are scrawny looking but he prices them cheap then some are fancy. I wonder if he does the same.

I bought 8 Holstein steers from him a few years ago. They all got sick within a day of getting them home and 4 of em died despite my best efforts.

Got no idea but, I don't blame him. I should of known better. Anytime you mix cattle from everywhere they get sick easily.
He does not have a lot of pasture. Just big hoop barns. Probably getting cattle at auctions.

I agree with you on them getting sick when you mix herds like that. But he seems to be doing pretty good with it. I wish I had a place and way to do something like that. Not sell sick cattle but to work with cattle for a living.

Stay far away from that kid. I went down there after two cow calf pairs a couple years ago and he must’ve Photoshop the damn pictures. The one Cow was like a walking dead, but I had already driven two hours down there so I took them home, His farm is literally 2 miles down the road from the stockyards for him to be reselling that cheap they must not bring didly shit at those yards.

Yes stay away from him unless you are willing to take a risk. You have to realize you’re buying junk cattle and if you’re willing to take a chance it may be worth it to you. He also routinely lies about what he has. Have had a dozen different people tell me the same stories about him and I always tell them you should know what your getting into when he is selling stuff at half market value.

Yeah I always knew there was something fishy about him. But I didn’t realize there could be that many skinny cows in one part of the state. Lol Don’t worry, I don’t have anywhere to put any and if I did I’d buy somewhere else.

Here’s 15 I sold today at Paris. There’s February calves and a couple September calves with everything in between damn near brought the same money.
