Well, that explains a lot. How senseless and tragic. What they are saying from Alabama is the son went to a party and got drunk. Called his dad to come get him. Son grew impatient and decided to drive home himself. Dad was on the way.Son swerved crossed center line hit dad head on.
On the news source I read it said the father was going to work and son was coming home from a party, though family sources said the son didn't drink. Doesn't really matter it's a tragic situation, the article also said the mother is fighting cancer and a sister has just recovered from her own serious auto crash. Simply sad no matter what is or isn't true. What they are saying from Alabama is the son went to a party and got drunk. Called his dad to come get him. Son grew impatient and decided to drive home himself. Dad was on the way.Son swerved crossed center line hit dad head on.
"Neither of the men was wearing a seatbelt, according to reports." *sigh*
I was fortunate in that years ago I had a company vehicle and the boss man required us to buckle up and was adamant about it, it became such a habit I never even think about it anymore it's automatic for meI been pushing seatbelt use for years. If my youngest had been wearing hers things in her life and ours would be a lot different. Also in the past couple weeks there have been two fatal auto accidents nearby. One the vehicle left the road and hit a tree head on, driver had on seat belt passenger in front seat did not. Passenger went thru windshield and died, driver was hurt but made it. A few days later I lost a friend I fished with some, 75 years old and we don't know or will ever know the entire story if he had a heart attack before he ran off the road or not but what should have been a simple run in the ditch accident rolled the car and ejected him landing on top of him, instant death. The funeral home couldn't even put him back together for a showing so everything was closed casket. You get in one of my vehicles it will not move until the belt goes click, no exceptions.
