If I remember rite I was told $50~ to score it then there was a fee for the P&Y. Can’t remember the price. But it was more then I wanted. Didn’t care that much. All I wanted was a little paper to put beside the mount. Wasn’t worth it. I had the taxi make me a little plate to put on the wood with name date Location and score on it.
Per their rules, yes if said hunter is not breaking laws while shooting buck off porch. Very simple. If someone wants the opportunity to enter an animal in a record book, that organizations rules need to be adhered to. If the record book is a non-issue, the only thing that has to be adhered to is the states hunting regulations.
100% agreed. Also why I said it seems they draw their lines in random places. It's their organization, their standards, and fully their right to make the rules whatever they want. Whether it adheres to common sense or not.
I have killed several pope and crockett bucks, and have never entered one. I'll score em, because I want to know, but never enter. I'll use my lighted pins, lighted knocks, and trail cameras. And if anyone ever comes up with a gps tracker small enough for a broadhead, I'll use that too. They can kiss my A#*.
Exactly how I feel Hicks. As long as it’s legal, I’ll do what I can to be successful. If they don’t want to allow it in the books, that’s their problem, not mine.
I can see both sides of this issue. But like @1wildcatfan said, their club and their rules. Simple as that.
I agree. I live 1.5 hours away so using cell cameras keeps me informed as to what’s going on there but I can’t just walk over and shoot anything. It will probably never impact me.
Not that I kill big bucks like most people on here but when we kill bucks where I hunt we rarely have pics of them. LOL! 2 years ago, guy who married into the family that lets us hunt the land killed a nice 10 and I was so excited to have pics of him to send the guy.
