Well, first of all I do not have Facebook. But I am able to review the Marketplace website somehow. Prices seem to be a lot cheaper on there than Craigslist. Is it a lot of scams, junk, etc., or decent people selling stuff?
Can you share any experiences?

Most sellers have moved from Craigslist to marketplace, i still watch both. When purchasing from marketplace place i review the sellers main page to see who they are before meeting them. They should have a few hundred friends and you can get a feel for their personality by reviewing their social posts. Scammers and riff-raff are pretty easy to avoid by doing this.

If they look like trash, or potentially a fake account i move on.

I did walk away from an in person deal where I realized the guy had obviously stolen the cement mixer he was selling. It was a 1800 machine he had listed for 500. While asking questions about condition and use, he didnt know things he should have, said he wasnt sure and lowered the price to 80. I told him I needed to get my phone from my car, then got in and left.

Buy local and see what you're paying for. There are many scams, and if something is way too cheap, be careful.
I am toying with the idea of putting a cammed LS 6.0 motor in my truck. As such there will be no way to test it out. Marketplace prices are about $1000-$1500 cheaper than car-part.com which lists salvage yards.

No real input BUT if you see Aniwabu Njimba on Facebook let me know. I wired that dude 5K for a brand new Tahoe and he still hasn’t brought it to me. That was 2 years ago, he’s had plenty of time to get back into the states.
Lol, no offense to anybody that has been scammed, but most are blatantly obvious if you do the slightest amount of due diligence and apply common sense. I stick with in person cash deals, and do a little research on the seller, including a proactive phone call conversation when possible.

If the price is an odd amount such as $107.00 or $81.00, its some kinda scam being played by people with African names. Look at the photos. Kentucky doesn't have desert environments in the background. Google the photos. A scam photo will be all over the 'Net...

If you see a nice truck, tractor, ATV or something that looks new for a dirt-cheap price, usually $1000 it will be a scam.
I click on the ad and then click on their name in the ad and all the stuff they have for sale will show up.
If you see the same thing listed in several states you will know its a scam.

I have a Facebook basically for the sole purpose of using marketplace. I have 2 friends and 0 posts on there haha so I appear to be a scammer if you look at my profile, even a fake name lol but I have sold stuff on there and bought stuff as well. It works better than Craigslist but get a lot of stupid people replying to items you’re trying to sell. Like I posted my transam on there and had 34 reply’s within 12 hours. The one that bought it was the one who messaged me within 5 minutes of me posting it.
I have ended up joining some groups on there that post hunting, fishing, cars and bikes. I will say I prefer to do business in fb groups if possible. Like when I sold my motorcycle I never posted it to marketplace, I posted it in a group called bluegrass sport bikes instead, that seems to narrow down the stupid responses wanting to trade you a 30 year old lawn mower type people. I also find if you post in a group full of people that are interested in what your selling you’ll get better money
