Just wondering, do you guys wear this stuff because you think its necessary, or because you think it looks cool?

Carbo Mask wipes right off. And I wear it instead of a mask so I can have better feel of my anchor points. When I am shooting my bow with a mask on I don't want the mesh catching my release or string. Looking cool doesn't really matter I get dressed right before walking in and I change before anyone sees me. But if you buy the Carbo Mask you will never use anything else.

JMO, but I think the whole "face painting" thing is getting way out of hand. It looks way to silly for me. I'll stick with the face mask.

I was using face paint in 1980, way before it had a " cool factor" to it. Its pretty much an early season thing for me, once it cools off I use a face mask most of the time

Honestly....I only use a mask in early season because of no seeums and skeeters. Haven't had a problem with deer seeing or busting me at all when I'm just plain faced. Now turkey, that's a different story.

They bust movement, not faces. Besides, how is paint going to break your face pattern more than your bow limbs? If I'm shooting I have it directly in front of me.
The biggest mistake people make is not having enough cover to draw.

We used the old army surplus camo sticks, olive drap on one end dirt brown on the other. Talk about a pain to wash off. You needed a sand blaster to get that crap off. I was glad when they came out with the face masks. Can't bring myself to use the camo paint. Those guys on the hunting shows that do the tribal looking war paint while hunting just look goofy to me........... but I guess I'm like wademup.........just too darn old LOL.

Oh and the comment on its not necessary......well true to a point........but in some lighting conditions your face shows up like the top of a light post. Might as will dim your bulb some............just saying.
