For some folks I guess! Friday nite at the Utah Hunt Expo Dinner, the Antelope Island Mule Deer tag was auctioned off and brought $500,000.
Then last night at the hunt expo, a 2023 Statewide Mule Deer tag sold for $725,000. Those are crazy monies for a deer tag, but congrats to them for buying those tags as all the $$ go to implementing mule deer habitat in their states.

Well, let’s just say they ain’t anywhere near cheap. I bid on a couple at the Expo but they got to six figures fairly fast. To put into context, and this is after speaking to numerous outfitters the last 6 months. Stones are selling for $75K - $80K, Dalls are now $35K - $40K (NWT & Yukon), Deserts are still $55K - $65K, and good luck with Rocky Mtn Bighorns and drawing the tag.

I had the idea of letting us put in a few dollars when you buy your license for the chance at an extra buck tag. I think may would do it and it would raise a lot of money and not cost them anything.

When I was younger I was in the Rocky Mountain elk foundation, and our chapter sold a Kentucky bull tag for around $25,000. I thought that was a lot of money for a tag then, but obviously things have changed haha!

THAT just amazes me. I know some folks have a lot of money....guess they drive a 100G truck also.
More power to them, have at it.

There are hunters with unlimited resources. I was in Canada Duck Hunting when a Hunter came in that hat been hunting in an enclosed pen and killed 200+ white tail and a 400+ elk
his tab as over $40,000. We had a beer together while export paper work was being processed. He stated I know you think I am crazy but I own a chain of fast food restaurants and I net over $100,000 a week and this what I like too do.

Did you slide adoption papers across the table?
