EV's vs Fossil Fuel Cars

With my gas automobile, I can go from empty to full in about three minutes and be good for another 500 miles....until EV's can do that, they will never compete.
If you switch to the new Dodge Ram EV due out next year, you can go 500 miles on that charge you do at home for less than $20. And you’ll have significantly lower maintenance costs (no oil). Plus your new truck will do something your old one never could - go 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. They will more than compete, and this is just the beginning…

If you have no gas the car doesnt go. You have to factor what you spend in gas during the cars lifetime if you are worried about EV batteries. So $60,000 for a truck. Then another $25,000 in gas. Thats not taking in maintenance which both vehicles require so it is null.

You also have to factor what it costs you to recharge that EV.
EV’s are a HUGE draw on electric, and last i checked, KU doesn’t give me that juice.
Bottom line, if green energy was cost efficient, everbody would be driving EV’s, have solar and wind generating systems.

This may sound good, but EV'S just aren't practical yet....and won't be for a while. Like trading a chainsaw for an ax.

EVs are hardly a “novelty” - they are all over the roads already. EV numbers will explode over the next 5 years.

The government absolutely should be involved in promoting EVs as one tool for addressing climate change - a problem we must address immediately.
Not promoting, government forcing auto makers to comply with how many evs to make vs gas, thus forcing us to buy overpriced cars/trucks. By the way, do you own 1 yet and if not then when will you.

No matter the issue we list, the retards won’t let any of it sink in. They think something magical will happen and we are all just suddenly driving these wonders and humanity is saved. Logistics means nothing. The cost means nothing… especially the low income. The slave labor to mine the minerals means nothing. The fact most of the minerals are controlled by our enemies means nothing. The recycling issue means nothing. The fact many don’t have access to chargers means nothing. On top of this… most of them don’t drive EVs themselves. They preach a good game but don’t back up anything. Go figure.

When will they live in a plastic bubble, re-breathing their own air, keeping themselves warm by their own means and eating their own waste so they’re self sustainable and thus sparing their Mother Earth goddess of such evil and of their evil existence? Such hypocrites!

The cost complaint keeps coming up. Lower income folks can’t afford EVs, etc. Well, price any new auto today and tell us how a low income person can afford one? (Ave new vehicle price was just over $49,000 in December, according to Kelley Blue Book). Lower cost EVs are coming, but if someone can’t afford them, they’ll have to wait - just like they have always done - for a used model.

Well genius…. A poor person can buy a used gas vehicle for a 1000 buck. A used EV will need a 20,000 battery by the time it gets old enough for them to buy it. If it’s 7 years old and a dealer puts a new battery in it what do you think they sell it for now?

Sorry poor people…. I know you need to get to work and get food and such but you will just have to wait. Maybe someone will drop off some government cheese so you don’t starve in the meantime.

True Americans who want the American dream for all Americans feel about EVS like we feel about the boarder!
If it's legal and not forced on us we will except it by choice but it will not be shoved down our throats and be told to shut up and except it!
The last time people tried to tell us what to do it didn't go good for them and it won't this time either!
The stakes are high and the cost will be higher this time around I hate to see what's going to happen but I don't think there's anyway to stop it our goverment is to corrupt and hell bent on pushing for it.

EV batteries last a lot longer than you think. Expect 10-20 years. I traded in a hybrid last year that I had driven for almost 12 years. I could tell no difference in performance at all. There will be plenty of good used EVs in time.
