Elk load/rifle?

    Yeah, the 156g is heavy for caliber which generally indicates excellent performance in penetration. Those Norma's turned in a .356" group @ 95 yards (5 shots) but they are sooo pricey

    Barnes Vortex 140 grain TTSX or Hornady Superformance 139 grain GMX would be a couple of good choices also. Lighter bullets means flatter trajectory and less recoil, at least with the Barnes load. The Superformance will kick a little harder due to increased velocity but should shoot a little flatter than the Barnes load.
