Bought eggs from a widow woman for the last 25 years. She passed away and wife asked me to pick up a carton of eggs. Picked up a carton labeled Large and headed home. Sunday morning wife is laughing in the kitchen and summons me in there. Looked down in the skillet and four little eyes are looking back at me. Looked like baney hen eggs. Picked up the carton to make sure I got large. What happened to eggs?

Isn't anything better than fresh farm eggs. Crack em in a pan side by side and you will never eat another store bought egg.

I buy the pink cartons in wal mart , they are big and its better to pay a little more for big eggs as to have to break more small ones.
Save a lot has eggs marked extra large but are small eggs.

this is true, my wife buys the two 18 packs at walmart, when we do scrambled eggs in the morning it takes 6 to give us both a decent portion.

cant wait for my freeloading chickens to start laying.

Those freeloading chickens may lay their eggs in flower pots , under cars , in the bushes . Most will use a nest as long as you leave a egg in there but some hide them outside the coop.

Kroger large is usually what I buy unless my pops gives me a carton from his chickens. He doesn’t have the layers he used to.

Old people would put a small type of gourd, in the nest , for a nest egg.

I’m sure if you do a some searching around your community there’s probably several people selling farm eggs and they’re pretty cheap. Before my chickens I had a old couple that I will get eggs from he would dang near give them to me for free as long as I brought him empty cartons
