I was watching the Pursuit channel the other nite and watched a new show called "Predator Nation" with Fred Eichler as the host. While the show was interesting and had some good hunting on it I was very shocked when he stated that he always ate bobcats when they harvested them and that you were wasting good meat by just tossing out the carcass. Has anyone else seen this episode or heard of eating them?? They fried it in the skillet just like chicken:confused::confused:

It's more of a regional thing I think. Mountain men and american indians claimed to love cat meat of any kind. Couger was noted to be a delicacy right up there with beavertail. So quite likely you will find a few people in hte rocky mountain region that do eat cat. Jimmie

I have ate Mountain Lion. It was white meat and I honestly thought I was eating pork roast until I was told otherwise.I will admit that if I knew what it was I probably would have passed but I am glad that I didn't. I think I will wait until you all try Bobcat before I do.

My brother in California has eaten mountain lion. Said it tasted like strong, chewy pork. Said it wasn't half bad....

I'd eat a bobcat before I'd eat a house cat. House cats eat nasty food.

I had some bourbon chicken at the chinese restaurant last week. I'm sure is wasn't chicken. Maybe it was bobcat.
