He and I parted ways for good after that, it was in July, this was a neighborhood where coyotes ate the fresh vulnerable. G
Nothing but a bobcat popped out in the edge of the bean field. Can't wait to take him out in a couple of weeks.
Zero deer this evening for for both of us. Heard one shot this afternoon. Sounds like no one had much luck today.
This morning shelby co 6 does and 3 bucks seen, 2 bucks were repeat performers at least 3 times crossed in front of me, leave for 30 minutes or so and come back across, at one point got in front of me and tapped their racks together for a short time.. 1 set of does also repeat performance.. Saw something move about every 30 minutes from first light to 11 when I stopped. This afternoon my neighbor was visiting their farm was having a bonfire about 150 yards from my blind considered moving else where but thought what the hey. Only saw 1 doe moving around. but 40 minutes after he left two buck were knocking their racks again half way between me and where neighbor was. I imagine the deer saying "he's gone lets go play where he was at."
I’m going to my other spot in the morning. Haven’t hunted it yet. Been waiting on the good ten to show more but I’m going in the morning. It’s a 3/4 mile walk around the bean field to the stand. Minimum. Lots of turns and rises. I hiked in another spot this morning that was over a mile round trip. No foot swelling. I’m gonna wait until it starts getting light to go in in the morning. Maybe spot him on the way in.
I gave a doe a fair chance to leave after acting stupid. she left then decided to come back and try her luck a second time, she left with me.
Didn’t see a deer but right before dark a buck chased a doe around just outta sight. Was grunting like it was Nov 10th. Earliest I ever encountered this.
Who's up and ready this morning? Nothing but birds and squirrels for the afternoon hunt yesterday. Hoping for a better showing this morning.
Flipping quarter to see where I'm going. Looks like hunting edge of a clear cut maybe catch one sneak in to bed
