It has been a minute since I have hunted whitetail. Looking forward to going in the morning. Hoping with this rainy friday that they will be moving tomorrow. I used to live for it, now I would rather ride some curvy road on my bike, or ride my fourwheeler. Hopefully this will reignite some of that old passion. Growing up in Ohio Co, I had two real good spots to hunt. When my grandfather passed and then my great uncle, I lost those spots. I bought a place in Hudson Breck Co back in 2004 and hunted it, but it was never the same. Raised my kids in the woods and enjoyed them hunting, so I would just let them do the shooting. Somehow after they grew up I lost the will to kill and animal. Back in april a fox was killing my chickens and I dispatched of the problem, and it didnt bother me the way killing deer was. So who knows if I will pull the trigger, but Im going anyways. Good luck tomorrow.

Just wanna say that it was 79 here when I climbed up a tree last night; there were green leaves everywhere; and, I saw six including a shooter buck that was out past my range.

Deers gotta move, even when it’s lousy out.
Yeah, usually at night though and lousy weather will get you pegged by older deer when its 79 out and you're drenched in sweat. Problem for me when its hot is having to do something immediately with the deer, I hate that. I like to extend the kill, relax, take pictures, make calls to friends and enjoy the moment. Can't do that when it's 80 out. I'll also disagree about deers gotta move, they don't really have too. They can stay in a small area with no movement for all practical purposes for a while, definitely long enough to beat you out of a sit.

If killing deer bothers your conscience, you may wanna stick to riding the bikes. I almost feel either you're born with it or not.
