I’m taking my crossbow. Ain’t f-in with muzzleloader. Wife may take her muzzleloader. I’m thinkin bout selling mine. Cause I’m always done by late muzzleloader and the 2 days we get early ain’t worth my time now that I got a crossbow.
And if I ain’t done I’ll just take my crossbow now.

I use my ML during gun season sometimes. Don’t have too many long shots where I hunt. I used to carry both xbow/bow and Whatever gun was in season. Was contemplating taking the xbow as well.

I got the same problem. I try to cheat it by hunting thermals more than winds. As long as it’s not too windy seems to be more reliable.

That's been my pet peeve. I've walked into 100s of them this season putting out cameras. They piss me off. I carry a walking stick and swirl it around in front but I still let my guard down and eat a few.

We didn't have any last year so I'm happy. I depend on them to draw activity in my area. This is the best I've seen in a few years.

I also use a long leafy stick but sometimes I miss a few. Seems like there are a lot of Spiders this year!

Fifth year in a row, very few to none acorns. I have a lot of Oak trees also, This late April-Early May Spring Freezes five years in a row is nothing I've ever seen before. Climate Change??

Where you at again? We seem to have some this year but many look like they fell a long time ago. Previous 3-4 years have been terrible.

Im loaded in my hunting spots.... Was putting some winter rye down the other day, overseeding my food plot, acorns were raining down all along the edges.

Northern Taylor County. Since 2016 our Oak's acorns have been "clobbered" by late Spring freezes. I thought this year would be different, and we'd have a good crop, but it didn't happen. Our Hickory & Walnut trees had a good year with bearing hickory & walnuts nuts, but Beech didn't have any nuts. Five year run is quite unusual and I fear this so called "Climate Change" might be real, just don't know what to think anymore.

My wife hasn't figured out why she's always in front walking through the woods. Wish she was taller, I still eat one every so often. :)

Gonna be blustery Saturday, and NW. Dead wrong for where I intended to hunt. Guess I'll hunt the new shooting house for the first time Saturday morning.

The only good thing about wind is it may knock down some leaves.
