We haven't had a good crop of acorns in five years. My guess is late Spring freezes the past five years. We are silly with them. Like walking on marbles.

Shew...I dont know about going to the store asking for something that'll cover an inch or two down on a half inch poleActual condoms work too. That's what we used back in my frat house days
You know it.50 mm
With the sunshade on.Mine are too baggy for the barrel....but they make a nice scope cover.
No pun intended, but that's a stretch. With the sunshade on.
Well they've dropped the lows for Friday night, thank goodness, but the wind seems to be picking up for the weekend. I hate wind in my area. It's so unpredictable.
Same. I just go. If it’s real windy I don’t hunt. But the direction stuff is irrelevant where I hunt. It will literally hit you in the face and 5 mins later the back of the head at any time. You can have multiple set ups and you’ll face the same dilemma.
I listened to Roger Raglin one time talking on setting up for the correct wind. I sent him a email and asked if he'd ever applied that in eastern Kentucky or along the Appalachian.
His response was "you guys in hill country just gotta hunt".
I agree with him. But I will say I hunt in a few box blinds and they help a ton with scent control.
I'll be hunting period but I will not go to my best spots. I'll get as high as I can where the wind direction is more consistent and still hunt. Will probably make a few scrapes and hang cameras on them.Same. I just go. If it’s real windy I don’t hunt. But the direction stuff is irrelevant where I hunt.
