My dove field is weedy as can be. I sprayed the sunflowers and the weeds just came back . Planted German foxtail and places it looks great and places it seemed like it didn't come up. I think the field is so flat and has dips that water kills the stuff out but weeds seem to grow anywhere.
I have two small fields. one two acres in wheat and the other in rye. Turkeys are tearing it up, deer in and out of it but doves are already loading the lines and hitting the field. The wheat fields are clean with no weeds.
I was going to combine the wheat but may find some special kids only and let them hunt those fields.
