Looks like young horseweed. But I'm likely wrong, cause horseweed art not be young by now

Final push. I sprayed the field on the 19th and this was a week later. It’s allowed me to not have to mow anything other than what I knocked down. Still plenty of heads that haven’t been touched from spraying. I mowed one strip just to clear the field edge yesterday. I’m waiting for this hurricane to move thru before mowing more. Heck I may not mow til Saturday.

Not hunting opening day or opening weekend at this field, may mow some down this coming weekend or maybe wait till middle of week. Birds seem to be enjoying it so far. IMG_9367s.jpg

You all look ready and the fields look great. Hope limits aplenty are had.

My field is waaaaayyyy behind. Planted a month late for reasons beyond my control. I’ll probBly just let it do it’s things and not spray or even mow any and let the birds have a break this year. Should be a lot of seed for them.

Next year come heck let’s high water I’ll be planting on derby day

I put one out pretty late too, but some ammonia nitrate and 10 10 10 right before some rains made it catch up pretty close to where it should have been.

There is very few truck at my field . They were all four door trucks and may have been full of hunters . There was lots of birds flying and lots of shooting .
I only saw a couple of birds fall others kept on flying.
As much shooting that was going on the trucks must have been full of ammo.
