tonight i seen the prettiest doe ive ever spotted. She has a snow white traditional patch. Even much more dominant and bold than any other deer. And underneath that about 3" under was another patch of average size and color. Very cool and not something ive seen befor. I considered shooting for awhile but couldnt find a reason to. Maybe another day. Anyone ever seen this befor ? Genetics?
Killed a nice 10 point several years back and gave the cape to a buddy as he piddled in taxidermy. He called me crazy for not getting the deer mounted because it had a double throat patch. It was a pretty sight to see but I only mounted my first little basket rack and just the antlers make it to the wall now. Now if I ever get a Booner it will probably be a different story.
