Any trad folks planning any late season sits before season is out? May try to hit it a time or two before Monday.

I'm hunting tomorrow evening. Will also hunt Monday if we get the snow they're calling for.

Like the thought! My county is one doe and one buck only. Got the doe early, had some smaller bucks, but nothing to fling an arrow at. Sure got a lot of doe on video afterwards! But catching up to a buck this late in the game is challenging, at least it is for this old man. So I may not go anymore, hope you guys connect.

Already took my buck for this year. Have had many chances for a doe, but really don’t need anymore in the freezer. Yesterday morning I had 2 bucks and 4 doe/yearlings in the back yard. Saw the does come back by just before dark. I’ve been shooting a few stumps the last couple days, just for something to do and the weather has been nice. Still seeing lots of fresh sign while I’m out.

I just like to hunt. I enjoy the chase as much as flinging arrows. I've taken 4 this season but none with the trad bow. I may revert from public land back to my stands at the farm. Less pressure and hopefully more late season action.

No sir. 17th. And as long as we get a decent snow, I'll have the day off from work

I hope to go tomorrow evening and Monday. My company recently adopted MLK Day as a holiday so I hope to spend my first MLK Day in a tree!

I did get ole yeller out yesterday and fling a handful of arrows with it. Different spines, weights, and lengths, helps me figure out which to use. Seems to me that the sights are a little right.

Your arrow spine could be a little weak or your new riser may be cut more past center than your original. Other thing is your grip may have changed a little with the new riser. Depending on the distance you were shooting in the pic, your well in the ballpark and should just take a little tweaking.

Shooting distance 23-25 yards, but with a mix of arrow lengths, and tip weights. But the real problem with the group is the “shooter”, that’s a good group for him/me!
I was also getting some noise I didn’t like so changed rest and nock point. Quiet now but sights still off. Lol

Since rushing to finish for the shoot I didn’t even make it to I didn’t get the desired feel in my hand. So I made an executive decision, I went back to work, a little tweaking, and refinishing.

Looks good! How long is the riser and did you have to shorten or lengthen it to get the desired weight from the limbs you used. Also did you keep the same limb pad angles as the original riser.
