Neighbors down the road have several of them great Pyrenees. They are pretty neat dogs. Always on patrol but calm and confident. 11-1 with 8 dead yotes is nuts. Ive never saw people with only 1 GP dog.

I was thinking maybe guarding the chicken coup closer to the house, lol.

Wish we knew more details. I have never heard of a “pack” of coyotes attacking anything, let alone 8. Due to hunting pressure they’re mostly spread out, solitary animals that hunt alone or in pairs. Especially in Georgia where you know they’re hunted. Weird story.

I was thinking they maybe coydogs. I have never heard of that many coyotes running in a pack.

I assumed 1 pack initiated and a second pack joined in. The fight lasted 30-60 minutes. So a second or even third could have heard the commotion and come in to investigate. I find owning only 1 dog to be weird too, although this one sounds like it dont need much help.

I saw four working together in a field one day. Most I've ever seen together.

It was a "Family Unit" of Coyotes.
They will "Pack Up" years ago I regularly saw 4 to 6 together many times. Fella didn't allow hunting in large farm area and had Jackasses to protect his calves. (Bordered my Land.)
The encroached on my land and I learned how to Killem. You will never killem all but you sure can thin them out.

6 is the most ive seen working a field maybe 3-4 different times. Saw it a few weeks ago on my drive to work.
