How many here hunt logging roads? Not use same to access your area but rather actually hunt the roads themselves?

I know plenty of people who use old
Roads etc to walk in and then veer off to hunt in the actual woods etc.

I’ve seen plenty of scrapes and rubs along old grown ups logging roads cutting through forests but it seems most of the time the deer don’t necessarily use same as travel routes per se like they do normal game trails and saddles etc.

We use the roads for the same reason deer use the roads…especially in your part of the state.

I went back down a logging road one morning late. Me and my buddy hunted a few hours. Came out and there were fresh rubs on the trees we’d just passed…. Yeah I hunt logging roads, now.

Deer love pot. Set up a broken trail camera so the farmers don’t harvest it and you can hunt it all season… err so I heard.

From my experience..if it's grown up some..they will use it willingly at all times of day. If it's open and fairly clear..not so much. But yes..I do hunt them..just not all of them.

I noticed they are a young buck’s favorite route, much like power lines.

Oh yes, definitely hunt them and deer here love them. Seems like many recently made logging roads follow flats and deer use these as highways, especially after they get overgrown some.

They absolutely use them. Where I hunt about the only flat spots are old logging roads and most of the deer trails are running on or near them.

I know nothing of the devil’s lettuce but a logging road must be multi-use.
