I am glad we don't have wolves here . I would not have a calf left. Coyotes and black headed buzzards are bad enough.
FYI. For you guys that want to hunt yotes next week will be prime. Ground will freeze down and they can’t dig mice. Just something to think about.
Well the genius wildlife folks here in NC released red wolfs down east. They claimed they would stay on the refuge....yeah that’s going to happen. They’ve spread and wiped the deer population out in areas. They’re also all mixed up with the yotes. Many have tracking collars and there are big fines for killing one. Lots of pissed landowners. when hunting in Ontario we heard em, eerie sound! Makes hair on your neck stand up. Locals said shoot em if you see em and buy tag after or throw in the ditch. No love for wolves anywhere I’ve been.
I saw a pic, a little while back, had 3 yotes, looked like were confronting a wolf, he was Hugh , beside them,
https://www.mprnews.org/story/2021/...enies-dnr-request-to-stop-wisconsin-wolf-hunt Maybe they kill some, It probably never happen in my lifetime, but these things will eventually get to Ky, if not already, and we do not need them. When I was a kid there were no coyotes around here, but plenty now.
Seen a few the other morning on hill behind my house. Bout 450 yards away. Maybe it was because they where backdropped by snow but I first thought they was deer. Biggest coyotes I ever saw. Four of them. I’m over ran by them last two years. May explain why the deer hunting was so tough last year. That and the weather and acorns.
Sure probably never helped, anything , them things are pretty sharp, I can go out in the yard any night and hear 3 different bunches from 3 different places, but I actually havent even laid eyes on 1 day or night, in probably 2 years, except an occasion , on trail camera. There are some guys, that know how to hunt them, and kill them, I say more power, to them killem all as far as im concerned .
