I copied this, not sure who can see it, or who cant. But God knows, i have killed my share of deer, as a lot of you on here have. And i know a lot of deer hunters, but everyone, I know, would have done this exact thing, and been glad to. Im sure no Anti hunters will see this, but it shows, how much the people that hunt them, really care for them

I saw this on F.B. along with other game animal rescues. The anti-hunting crowd should realize that if it weren't for us Hunters they would have no wildlife to watch. I've also harvested my share of Deer, over the years, having every filled tag kept and stored in my bedroom. Each winter, after Deer Season, I feed them shelled corn and watch them, with some becoming very tame. These Deer are "Backyard" pets not game to harvest.

You are exactly right, Us as hunters, care more for the game, than anyone.

Good thing he could get his leg out because that looks like a cattle panel and not regular woven wire.
It takes bolt cutters or a grinder cutting wheel to cut that wire. It is tuff stuff to cut and really hard to bend.

Kept thinking the deer was going to toss its head and impale him.

That is exactly how I found this button. I rescued him, he was not so grateful…That cattle panel is tough on them.

I found a yearling stuck in a barbed wire fence one time… i cut the deer loose… but the deer was to stressed to regain it’s composure and move on… poor thing just laid down and expired later that afternoon..

I have probably killed enough squirrels as a kid to fill two pick up truck beds. But I never turned down the chance to bottle feed and rehab any baby squirrels that a tree cutting friend of my dad's would bring to our house. I would enjoy watching and feeding many of them even years after they were released.
I don't hunt them as much as I'd like too these days but the only opening day of squirrel season I have ever missed since 1975 was the year I was in boot camp.
