Sitting here in stand thinking about tomorrow. It would be the same timeframe, 8:30 to 1. Will have to go to the blind on the field edge because if the north wind, and rain/snow. Yeah, I know you can’t kill them from the couch.

What’s everyone’s thought on a rainy, slightly windy midday sit?

I’ve seen deer on their feet feeding today from 10:00-12:00 and plan to sit all day. I don’t think I want to hunt in that weather tomorrow.

My hunting buddy called me today and told me there a very large buck in his foodplot in Indiana at 1220 today - he was chasing does. Said he had never seen it before and it was one of the largest bucks he has ever seen. I don't think anytime of day is bad this time of year.

I've killed almost as many bucks from 11:00-2:00 as I have mornings or evenings. Never in the rain though.

Ive never killed or saw a big buck midday but every year i run cams i will get a midday monster pic or 2 BUT id have to hunt all day everyday to have that pay off and would likely burn my spot up anyway.

Currently debating my sanity right now. Been really slow this week. But all it takes is that one to move.

Will be in the stand tomorrow afternoon. Can’t wait. Temps falling, rut gearing up, best time of the year.

Decided to sit today out. Will be back out 8:30-1 Friday. Cam check tomorrow will reveal if it was a mistake or not I guess.

I see you decided to sit it out and I don’t blame you but I saw quite a few deer (doe) moving about yesterday from 1000 on. Like the others said. This time of year anytime in the woods should be good.

I struggled with it. But got in late last night frommdaughtes horse riding after barely being home yesterday, and going hard the next 3 days, so trying to actually accomplish something not associated with sitting in a tree today.

    It’s a delicate balance.
