The girlfriend and I are taking off a day next week to do something but can't really decide on what to do.

She is always cold so anything outside is not feasible this time of year. Distillery and brewery tours don't interest her.

So....ideas?

If she's into anything antiquey or just plain strange, Mellwood Antiques in L'ville is a blast. It's an old factory crammed floor to ceiling with anything from EXPENSIVE crystal dishware to moth eaten taxidermy to seats off an old carnival ride. Not to mention a whole room of running miniature trains. We went for the 1st time over Christmas & my husband liked it so much he's already planning our next trip!

Mellwood Antiques

Another option might be a trip to the Casey County Amish/Mennonite area although it's more interesting in warm weather. Bulk food store, the best produce store anywhere, South Fork Furniture, the dry goods store....

@Lady Hunter if you all haven’t been to this one (JoeLeys) you need to. I go there from time to time to find old tools I need. I think it’s on Market St. It’s huge.

Check out Chattanooga , forthe first afternoon, go to the Aquarium there, its huge and has a lot. My kids love the aquariums everywhere we go and that one is one of the better ones in my opinion. Then the nighlife and stuff downtown is usually pretty good. There is a great diner there called the City Cafe. Has a huge menu, good food, not pretentious, open late. We usually stay there coming or going from family in FL at the Reed House, an historic hotel. Good place and walking distance to all of the city's street parties and goings on. I have always been surprised at how much local stuff is going on there when we stop to stay.

Spend the day in LBL and check out the elk and bison prairie and other stuff. End the day with dinner in Grand Rivers at Patti’s. She’ll love it.
Didn't think about that. Patti's is excellent and highly recommend 👍

The first time we ate there was on a trip back from Wickliffe mounds and the meal was the high point of the whole thing.
