Anyway I had to work today. I’m not gonna go anymore for awhile. Gotta get some stuff done to this house.
Hot afternoon,I guess I should have stayed at doing hay instead of hunting. Saw a spike and a doe this afternoon. Thermal cell was empty and dang mosquitoes about packed me off. Those things are of the devil.
I forgot my thermacell Saturday in the truck and was to lazy to go back and get it. All I had exposed was my elbows to my gloves. I’m still recovering from that mistake.
Yesterday Someone took it upon themselves to delete a card out of a camera we had that had been sitting for just over 2 weeks in a very good spot on public land. We have glassed a nice one and know where he comes out and the camera had been showing good results. We got a pic of them walking away and the car based on the time the pic was taken and a car we knew was parked at the spot that evening. Thanks for not stealing the camera tho I guess.
Doesnt make much sense why they would do that besides just being a jerk. They have as much a right to be there so no clue why they wouldn’t want their picture taken.
Yea I’m more confused then mad. We only put out cheap cameras on public expecting them to get stolen. Only thing I can think is he downloaded the pics and hit the delete button sense his face would have been checking our camera.
Last year I had some dumb dumb come off of the WMA onto our private property, took the card and turned the camera upside down. He walked right past the WMA sign that stated “now entering private property” so it’s not like there was any confusion
That is aggravating, and very surprising he didn’t steal it and even gave the card back. Anymore I always carry one climbing stick with me when setting/checking cams. Standing on top of one stick I set the camera 8 feet high or so and angle down. They will have to climb for it lol. But did you say got a pic of the car? If so how close was the cam to the road?
Unfortunately I’ve got a fishing tournament Saturday so no hunting till Sunday. Hope you guys have a good weekend. Got weather coming in randomly all weekend. Could be interesting.
I've always said I wish they'd take the card vs the camera, erasing it was very nice. Course he prolly did it after downloading your pics, seeing a the good one and not wanting the camera owner to know it. My neighbors boss hunts next to my place he came thru one opening day of rifle bout noon into my field. Walked up to a camera and started going thru em, I was in my box blind 70 yds away watching him in binos and I said "anything interesting?" He bout pooped himself and danced his big arse outta my property. He must have told my neighbor and he came up and apologized and I told him bout the camera, he said "hmm he didn't tell me that!" I told him I didn't figure. He shook his head and said Ugh!
I hope any of you that went this morning took your life jacket. Man it really came down there for a few. We went scouting and the creeks are blown. Could be a good afternoon hunt.
