Dave Stewart, an over 20 year guide on KY Lake, retired Veteran and a great friend and guy passed away yesterday after a long 8-9 year battle with cancer.
Wow I hate to hear that. I looked forward to his fishing reports on explorekentuckylake.com. RIP. https://www.explorekentuckylake.com/features/18-11-20-dave-stewart/
Never met him but sure read a lot of what he posted on BBC in the past. He sure was a knowledgeable angler and helped a lot of folks with his knowledge.
Ole Dave good friend of mine. Served with him in the Military. Real good man. Every year in April Crappie fishing id always look him up. We talk for hours. Miss the ole friend. RIP DAVE.
Yes he is, no longer fishing though. Last I heard of him he no longer was feeling up to fishing alone and was selling his boat. He’s had some medical issues I believe. He could still hit the lake and drop 20# on the scale on any given day though I’m sure.
