We never let a crow come by we didn't call to and send floating down the Ohio while duck hunting, or at least try to.
I had a couple hundred, but my buddy gave me 100 said he didn't own a 20 ga. I've been shopping on line today and man there hard to find, wouldn't of thought shotgun bird shot would be hard to find.
A lot of people eat em! They say they taste like dove,I'm not going to try them but if I ever get any and someone wants them let me know.
Used to hunt them when I was a kid, loved sneaking up on them with a .22 ... had a blast but NEVER ended up with a pile anything like that; I was happy to pop two or three and thought I was really doing good!
That is a fun day afield. I use to hunt them quite often years ago. Both wing shooting and ground stalking fields with a rifle. When there was snow on the ground we would just lay in the fields with a white sheet over us. Once the committed to a fly over just flip the sheet off and blast away.
Good job! Looks fun. Always thought about trying that sometime. I know when hunting coyotes we are doing things right when we get the crows to come by and check out our set up.
