Yeah, takes a bird or 2, but my dogs have always gotten over it. A cripple will turn a dog around even better.

Never had a problem. Dogs are smart and learn how to handle them early on. My male Chessie used his feet on cripples and would step on their head before grasping them around the neck. My female would snuff them before picking them up.

Thought I was going to have to shoot her one day, she ran at me growling because me and jewel were in your spot. Scared me for a second.

Made some honest crows yesterday. Had few unproductive setups, took a shot at one high flyer and missed, and then the last setup paid off. Crows started coming in by singles, every minute or so, and I killed 3 with 3 shots, then a double, and then a 6th one, and then the last crow came in a little wide and I crippled him up with 2 shots. 6 crows in 8 shots, all in about 5 or 6 minutes. 4 of them had the decency to fall in the timber and could be retrieved, but two fell in a hellacious multiflora thicket, and so there they shall stay.

This one was packing his lunch of deer feeder corn.

On the way home I was just walking along, had took my shirt off, not trying to hunt or be quiet. Suddenly I heard cawing about 100 yards away so I ducked under some brush and gave them my baby crow call. Two of them came straight at me, and I tried to shoot the first in the lips but somehow I missed, and as they wheeled to leave I caught the second one and dumped him down deep in the holler. I was down to one shell in my gun, and I started walking again and hadn't taken 10 steps and one flew over head and got by me with no shot, but the second one didn't, and he fell over the same holler. So, 8 crows dead with 12 shots, and I went home with an empty gun.

They taste as "bad" as beef sirloin.

Alright. You're on, and I'm in. Tell me what to do to make it edible and I'll try the next one. Serious.

If he will fix it tomorrow night, I will try it. We'll even get pics to prove it.

You need a flattened possum to complete the set.

Had a good weekend crow hunting. Friday after work I killed 2, Saturday hunted a couple of hours and killed 3 and Sunday we killed 17. Seems to make it tougher to kill crows while wearing hunters orange. Trustme couldn't stay around for a picture, but he grabbed a couple of crows, then left saying something about dinner. Our running total for this year is at 61.
