Crow season starts this Sunday! Who all is going? I'll be in the woods early. Hope to post some pics up next week. Should be a good year. I've been seeing a lot lately. Good luck to everyone.

I still can't believe they put a season on crows.

    We have a split season here. 7/1 - 8/15 then 12/13 thru 3/1/2014

    I'm with 120+, why have a season?

I usually bag a few, just 'cause I can. It gives the dogs something to retrieve.

Have fun out there, we'll be Dove shooting Sunday and Monday.

We traded a crow season to limit the take on crows to make Mexico happy so they'd protect the eagle. They like their national symbol as much as we like ours, I guess.

"I hate crows. They make me wish I had a 10 gauge."

I thought their national symbol was the roadrunner, or the carrier pidgeon. ;)

I was trying to stick with birds but that would be more fitting.

    Turn around!
Would like to see some pics. We used to shoot them as kids with our pellet rifles but this past spring I was messing around with a crow call I bought for turkey hunting and it was a blast. In a couple different spots I used the call to bring birds in after I had spotted them or heard them. I was even able to make them come back after they did a fly by and didn't see anything. Seems like hunting them could be a hoot.

It's all that fat and cholesterol from the crow meat. I don't eat McDonalds food, but the crows do.:grumpy:

Seven??? Y'all spent all day humping around those Godforsaken mountains and only killed seven??? And I thought grouse were were the scarce birds around there.
