Because I'm a gun nut and guns and fishing rods go hand in hand. Why do you care? I'll up the ante and add a knife.

We do some creek fishing. Biggest I’ve ever caught was 18”. The biggest I’ve seen caught here was 22” but that was in the early 80s when there was big holes of water every 100 yards. Idk why honestly why those holes disappear. I’ve heard due to strip mining but no strip mining around here now.

18" is a really nice creek bass.

The creeks around here change year to year as well. Years ago some of the holes were much deeper than they are now, but some places the creek is deeper than it used to be. Just part of it I guess.

I have, done ok there but actually did better in the Upper Potomac and South Branch. (I'm betting most of that though was the amount of time I spent on the potomac.) Those fish pictured were actually caught off London Bridge Rd in Sykesville/Finksburg not to far from you in MD. The largemouth in the Lower Potomac was awesome before the snakehead, haven't been there since but hope to go back in July and try em.

Interesting. I personally couldn’t care less but it was an honest question out of curiosity. Fish. Fish. Fish. Fish. Gun and rod. Now I know

We had a few 100 fish days on the Sus. We'd put in at Dargan Bend ramp above Harper's Ferry on the Upper Potomac. Fish up to the next dam if water was high enough. Never caught a lot but did catch a 4-3 lb brown bass in some swift water. 20 minute tussle on 6 lb line and thought it was going to spool me a couple of times.

Yes it is. Not common but caught several 15-17.5”. They fight hard for their size.

I guess it could be. So you take pics with your gun, rod, and knife every time you go fishing?
