Coyote Scope on .22

.22lr out to 300??? Maybe half that distance is ALMOST feasible, and that's pushing it, alot.

If money's no object I'd go with a .22-250 with a Leupold 4x12 minimum.

Money no object but limited to a 22? Spend that scope money on a centerfire rifle, even if that means you get stuck with a cheaper scope.

 

A .22 will leave a nasty welt at 300 if you're lucky enough to connect. I agree with the 22.250.

 

Better off with a "cheaper" rifle vs skimping on a scope. You can make a low end rifle shoot well, but a cheap scope with poor glass will never get better.

 

I agree with that, as long as the cheaper rifle is a centerfire and not using a 22 trying to shoot 300 yards.
If all I had was a 22 and I had money set aside for a high end scope to coyote hunt I’d use the money for a bigger rifle instead.
Is there a reason OP wants to hunt with a 22lr?
