I was not planning on parting with these till I got bit by a Side by Side bug. Now I am on a mission.

The first is a nice 1938 Remington Sportsman in 12 gauge. Mod choke. Shoots nice. Was shooting clays with it in the fall and using reduced recoil loads and it still worked fine. Works fine with regular loads also. $425 delivered in KY

Second is a 1949 Remington 48 Sportsman in 16 gauge. This thing is in really great shape. Bluing is still fantastic. It does have the recoil pad, but was done professionally it looks like. Imp cyl choke. And like I said 16 gauge. Was shooting clays with this one 3 weeks ago and it works perfectly. $425

If you take both I will deliver for $800. These are great American Shotguns made with steel and wood.

I will maybe consider a trade for a sxs

Great looking guns. I been looking into buying a 16 gauge but have found ammo is scarce as hens teeth. Also heard a rumor that they were no longer gonna manufacture 16 gauge ammo so I been holding off on getting one

I don’t know where you are exactly but this summer Walmarts we’re full of only 6 shot. I guess it’s in phases of production. I have a ton of 6 shot I bought over the summer.

I'm here in VA and out local Walmart has to be the absolute worst when it comes to supplying ammo or matter fact anything. I can usually go a town or two over and pick up a lot more things than ours carry. I don't go in Walmart very often as I'd much rather go to RK but the one here or their website doesn't have 16 gauge shells either.

Nice. I’ve got an old remington sportsman hump back in 16gauge. I dove hunted with it. Sweet shootin. Good luck.
