corn rut petition

Just wondering your thoughts on getting corn piles removed during the rut to help keep more bucks alive. I was thinking maybe a two bucket limit in mid October and thats it. I feel too many deer are being taken during the cornpile season. Maybe extend salt lick season a little longer. Any thoughts on this thanks​

What is your take on mock scrape season? Extend it or leave it as is?

I would suggest a statewide band on Corn, Food Plots, Mock Scrapes, cover scents, camo, hand warmers, all archery products except crossbows of course, and just open up gun season year round but the tag system be where you have to kill 5 does to get a buck tag. Then for every 5 does you kill after that you get another buck tag.

I think we should ban deer stands they are too dangerous and they give the hunter too much of an advantage.

In my opinion they should have 1 ten day season and you can use either a gun, bow,or crossbow whichever you want. That would be the end of it, make all baiting illegal including food plots and only allow 2 deer to be taken with a doe being the first animal before you could shoot a buck and the buck would have to have a minimum of 5 points per side with an outside spread of at least 18 inches.

Natty you left out deer stands - need to go back to the way it was and just hunt on the ground. Also, no shooting of deer (which are asleep) right under your stand.....

Banding corn piles is just ridiculous. I mean you can grow many acres of corn and just leave it standing, you can hunt in a loaded White oak section of woods. There is no difference.

I agree 100% after the drought and the effects on the global economy and the movement towards the renewable fuel source as ethanol. I do not agree with the ban on tree stands especially on state land, I would not have a raised platform to hunt from without someone leaving it there.

I'm not disagreeing with some of the other responses, but I think the last thing on a bucks mind is a corn pile, during the rut.
