How far away from my mock scrape is acceptable to put corn. Never done a mock before but trying some Scrape Fix. Heard a few swear by it. I will post some pics if it actually works. Checking camera on Friday.

I’d say 20-30 yards minimum. That just seems to be the distance I’ve seen both rubs and scrapes over the years.

Just didn't know if it would be counter productive to put them close together or better to keep them 100yds or so to create a travel line for bucks to move and check.

It would be best if you could make it on a known scrape line from past seasons. Never tried corn near one but I do have a lick not far from my scrape. Hasn't seemed to bother it.

Just pee in it. It always seems to work for me. I freshen once a week when I check the camera.

I got mine about 125 yards away. Trying to get a little daytime movement.

Hmmm... I have dumped corn 20 feet away from my mineral site ANd deer have scraped 20 feet away from both forming a triangle. Is there anything inherently wrong with me dumping corn here? Never really gave it any thought.

Thanks for the info. Don't guess there is a right answer, just seeing what experiences y'all have had.

Lol. So far im bear free here up north. Had a young male come up this way a few months ago but “disappeared” after being spotted by folks a few miles down the road.

Have had them make a scrape under the same tree I put corn under. I’ll have to look and see if I still have the pictures.
Currently have a natural scrape 10 yds from corn pile. It’s freshened up every time I go put more corn out.

Last year i put a cam on a mineral site. They made a scrape within 5 ft of the mineral directly in front of the camera and wore it out. They’re using it again this year

This guy showed up 2 years ago at a mock scrape just 20 yards from my
feeder. I have 2 mock scrapes set up within 20 yards of the same feeder this season but no interest yet.

What is the attractant you use? I have an area close to my backyard I would like to try it out on. Jumped a decent buck back there the other day.

And of course you recognize that buck!

Buckfeverusa.com. I use the forehead gland scent for the licking branches of my mock scrapes.
