From the ones I know, they are killing very few. I can't find any birds, so I'm catching up on the to do list until we get some cold weather.

I know two of the private corn holes around here aren't. One club in Ballard that usually kills in the 1k range hasn't broken the 100 mark yet. Warm and wet years are the worst.

We ain't at our spot. I talked to some guys that hunted it Friday and Saturday and they never fired a shot. Most all the corn in the field is gone but with the warm weather the birds were only feeding at night.

I hear wisemen speak of great anti flooded corn movement in progress. Corn planted to flood can not be proven as natural agriculture practice. Great War on horizon between us and them.

FFL won't get anything done. They are a joke. I'll say this, you get a change in that law and it opens up a whole different can of beans. Legislators cannot simply put "No flooding of corn" into law. They will take away all forms of flooding food inpoundments. Rice, soybeans, moist soils, millet, etc. I haven't flooded corn in years but you don't want to go down this road.
Plus ducks aren't using corn right now anyway. It's 50 degrees. They don't need a high energy food for loafing around.

Would this road lead to any and all artificial flooding or just artificial flooding of standing agricultural crops?

Artificial flooding of ag crops grown for the specific purpose of attracting waterfowl.
Artificial/controlled being the key word.
