comments: I am almost never around my property in the middle of the night when coon hunters are out, so we have never had to occasion to meet.
As for expensive hunting dogs going where they dont have permission, that's the basis of unlawful trespass and my main beef with these guys. Their damn dogs on my property does not give them lawful permission to trespass.
I don't want to say what county this is in as I don't want to advertise my county does not have a wildlife officer.

You know what. We would have had a problem. If coon hunters want to coon hunt then they need to know what adjoining property there is. It’s no excuse. Bottom line. Contact the people around said neighbors land if it’s not big enough to contain a dog and coon. Get to know everybody around if your gonna so call coon hunt. I’m sure lotta people wouldn’t care if asked first and do it right.
There’s no excuse for that BS.

I have Never turned down Anyone who asked to Coon Hunt on my land.
I only asked them to Kill the Coons they tree.
I have a couple coon hunters and all I asked was for them to call me when they go in hunting. They always stop and tell me they are on my farm or they call me. The only time I say no is when it is close to deer season.

Invest in some cellular trail cameras and set them to send you pictures as soon as it takes the pic. You would know when they pull up, and have proof. Soon as that truck parks at the gate call the police for trespassing.
I’d post the land with new no trespassing signs, and put up a few signs letting them know it is being watched with surveillance. If you really want to get them I’d put up a cheap camera close to the gate in plain sight then put up a cellular camera well hidden watching it. If they will trespass they will probably steal too, and that charge will probably stick better.

We as hunters should all get along we have enough people that’s not in the hunting world against us any way. I understand it’s your land and you evidently don’t want anyone on your land. I’m not trying to argue with you maybe just try to make you and some others understand from a different point of view. Coon hounds cost thousands of dollars these days and let’s say they did turn loose on your neighbors place and trees a coon on your deer paradise. If you was them would you leave a 6 to 10 thousand dollar dog over there just because it crossed over the fence? If you was in there shoes I say you would not. If they get in there and get their dog and don’t bother nothing then there is really no harm. The coon hunters and the dogs will not scare your deer herd. If any thing it will save you money keeping dang coons out of your corn pile.
That’s not the point bud. If you don’t get the point then guess you don’t get that you don’t get it.

If you don't have a CO in your county you are supposed to call the state police. If you want to know when there is no CO in the county just go to KDFWR and it will tell you.

Coon hunters that trespass aren't hunters, their poachers and will be treated as such. If you coon hunt a piece of land you should talk with adjoining owners and ask if they want a call if(/when dogs cross the line). You can ask if you can clean their coons out and when they want you to steer clear (like a week or 2 before deer gun). Its easy enough to do and id like to have a coon hunter kill the coons in my area 2-3 times a year. Very few coon hunters put in this level of effort or courtesy thus the poor reputation among real hunters.

Coonhunters are going to do whatever the flying hill they want to because 9/10 nobody feels like going out at 3 o’clock in the morning and confronting them. If you want to talk about getting pissed off about something wait till they leave gates open and your cattle get out or mixed up.

I remember old men telling me that Coonhunters were just undercover marijuana farmers. they would have plants all through your property that you’d never know about and come check them at night “coonhunting”
Show me a present day coon hunter, and I'll follow him and show you a pot grower.

Bullshit.
I keep my places low impact until I decide to kill something. Some potlicker with a hound has no right to f*** up my property before I can even hunt it, especially in the middle of the night.
