I agree. I really don't know what threads are the most entertaining, is it coon hunting, OOS hunters, tracking dogs, or something else???

It’s “what’s the score”. Range from:

110

needs a year

that deer is pushing 456 typical

I guess that’s why i should consider myself lucky to hunt places where there ain’t a chance in getting a buck on camera much less in my sight that will ever push any score above 110 being generous lol

Well, if you give’em a mineral lick from that bag that has a huge buck on it and actual “deer corn” you might learn how to grow them past 110.

You just don’t get it.
I did put out mineral etc

see I put out lucky buck and it’s working like magic. Every buck on the farm is lucky as they never show during day light unless I’m asleep in stand. The luck these bucks have around me is amazing.

deer corn I got was mislabeled I think as it’s obviously coon corn and dang if it’s not drawing them in from 7 counties away.

Maybe I should put out whitetail institute! Best I can tell you can spend as much as you want at an institution and they will forgive the student debt you racked up there at said institute. Goodness sakes you dang sure shouldn’t have to pay your own debt obligations you took out of your own accord back.

I’ve coon hunted, deer hunted and all the above and it comes down to respect. If my dog trees on property I don’t have permission to be on I should go ask the property owner for permission to retrieve my dog. (Who wants to be woke during the middle of the night? They going to be pissed either way). As for deer hunting, if a deer you shoot runs onto property you don’t have permission to be on how many hunters get permission before retrieving their deer?
i wont go on someones property without permission. had barbwire cut, by deer hunters too. less the deer had big antlers, it could be dragged under the fence. seen my fence cut in other places, cutters leave a mark. different than an animal running through. seen that too.

You mean 10 acres don’t cut it ?
ya just gotta have land. then its OK. who cares about the no trespassing signs, the dogs dont an the dog owners cant read neither. guess that makes it all right. come into my house anytime, i have no rights, even if i dont know ya or ya got permission. how many agree with that???

I agree 100% that no one should trespass for any reason and any hunter whether you’re a Deer, coon hunter etc should get to know the adjoining property owners and get permission to retrieve a dog or a deer before hand. But most don’t want to do the work. I’m guilty of trespassing for both reasons discussed in this thread but I guarantee you so are the ones that are complaining about coon hunters. It’s been my experience that most deer hunters hate us guys that hunt with dogs. But when they can’t find a wounded deer I bet they are calling on a tracking dog. Like someone said in a previous post all hunters need to get along and help each other cause we have enough people against us already.
uncle Joe aint against ya, if he cant smell your hair.:rolleyes:

I don't know about that. I don't know of too many coon hunters around me anymore. Seems like a dying breed. I could be wrong of course. I have seen far more deer hunter trespassing issues than coon hunters but I am not a land owner.
i have seen deer hunters due this, dont make them any better as far as trespassing. both wouldnt like it, if ya visited their property, while they were hunting..., went were ya want, inside the house, which is the same thing...

why is a mineral block better than a salt block? dont deer get minerals from eating natural? everything living needs salt, but if ya got the minerals all ready?
my horses, that roam free over 5 acres or so, prefer a salt block. i trust their judgement.

Asking the mods to delete your account cause you don't like what other people do/allow on their land?

I didn’t say trespassers wasn’t pricks nor do I have a coon dog or buttsniffer as you call it. I haven’t coon hunted in 20 years and I could care less about going again but had some good times when I was a kid hunting them. Just amazed how some of you guys act over a deer it’s just mind blowing
Guessing you don't own any hunting land or pay any significant leases for hunting land. If you did, your attitude would be different.
