I’ve used the mt050 for almost 22 yrs. Still have the first set I bough and they are incredible…..BUT that being said I’ve ordered the newer mt050 a couple times over the past 10yrs to replace my older set and the newer oufits don’t compare to the older models.
Comfort, noise etc.
The goretex is the best part

If you can swing it I’d look at the first lite stuff. It kept me warm in Iowa where the wind NEVER stopped blowing. I have the sanctuary set but if I had to do it over I’d go with sanctuary bibs and one of their lighter jackets. Great base layers too, key is staying dry and their Marino is excellent.

Love my bibs. Probably gonna try to catch the parka on sale this year and get it. They are a bit bulky but not terribly and a bit more noisy than I would prefer but not too noisy that I get busted or anything. For warmth, they are a 11 out of 10 for me. Great for winter time fishing too!! Really cut down the misery on those long water rides when its cold.

I've got a set of the Cabelas Wooltimate bibs and parka that's about 10 years old and showing its age. That stuff is WARM just a bit bulky / heavy and tricky to draw a bow sometimes. I'd like to get a lighter bib / coat set that was as warm as the Wooltimate. Been looking at the Sitka and First Light but that stuff is HIGH $$$$.

First lite has the Black Friday sale atm. 30-40 percent off.
I just ordered a cold weather jacket and pants. Saved 165 bucks.

It might be time for me to update my Walls Trebark bibs that dad found on a construction site back in the 90s.
Nah…layer up and save the money.

I’ve had terrible luck with first lite…I’m convinced meat eater ruined their quality when they bought them out.

First Lite Chama Merino base layers, Sitka Fanatic and Browning Pro Series from the late 90’s. My Browning stuff is like new. It’s really held up very well.

If it were me getting stuff to hunt Ky with and looking in to the Sitka line, I’d go with the Stratus bib/ jacket combo, then go with a mid and base layer. That should keep you plenty warm
