The White House revoked akostas credentials because he put his hands on the sweet young lady coming to retrieve the microphone. NIIIIIICE!! Loved the video. Good for trump calling these communist idiots out.

Let me be clear. I detest Akosta and the way he reports. I believe he deals in half truths, and has a vendetta against Trump, either personally, or as part of a systematic political objective.

That being said, he did not put his hands on her in anyway. Pulling back the mic, and putting up his hand to block hers is in no way assault, or being aggressive. To use that as an excuse, when there's clear video evidence to the contrary is BS. I 100% disagree with Trump pulling his credentials simply because he doesn't like the guy, which is EXACTLY what happened. Suppression of the media in this way is fundamentally Un-American, and against the principles of the 1st Ammendment. Were any laws broken? Doubt it. Doesn't make it right. You want to be POTUS, and respect the Constitution? Then you have to put up with press that have polar opposite views and field their questions, not revoke their Press Clearance when they piss you off.

IMO, all Trump did was fuel the fire. He simply could have systematically, and CALMLY, done the exact same thing, while telling Akosta he was wrong, and his reporting was inaccurate. Of course, I think he should have been doing that the last 2 years, so not sure why I'm surprised. Instead, he gave CNN a video clip to play from here to eternity. Akosta pushed Trumps buttons, knowing exactly what he doing, and got exactly what he wanted. I agree with almost all of Trump's policies, but how he conducts himself when people press him is appalling.

You are correct he did not assault her in any way but he did touch her and he had no right to do so , she was just doing her job.. Trump actually handled himself quite well intitially but then he sort if lost his cool.. Does anyone remember way back during Trump's campaign for president Cory lendowski not sure of spelling of his name barely touched a woman at a rally (I think it was)and the left went batcrap carzy.. Also Acosta wasn't even asking questions he was acting as an activist/ advocate and making accusations.. I know this wasn't one but, I really don't know why they continue to have daily breifings with an increasingly unfriendly confrontational press. The daily breifing is actually a relativly new thing.

I really thought Trump was going to come off the Podium and smack the dog shit out of him, he was mad. CNN got exactly what they deserved, and the credentials should not be returned until CNN apologizes to that young lady and the White House........Trump fired a warning shot to the media, they better listen.

You make a terrific point, that asshat wasn’t acting as an unbiased member of the media he was harassing and advocating. Trump is handling these idiots the only way you can.

The White House press core has no right to be disruptive. They serve at the leisure of the president. First amendment rights are checked at the door. Trump should have booted this ass clown akosta a long time ago. Akosta didn’t assault her, but he definitely overstepped a line. The White House has authority and control over the press conference. It was their microphone. When they want it back....he gives it back. Plain and simple. To push the hand of the staffer retrieving the microphone is grounds to revoke the communist stooge.

Donald Trump is the duly elected President of The United States of America,
Jim Acosta is supposed to be a NEWS reporter; since when does the President not deserve RESPECT no matter what your agenda or reason for asking ANY question of him ... especially in front of a national audience when everybody knows your only doing it to promote your own lying agenda and to try and demean him.

I was hoping the President would order the Secret Service to drag the SOB outside that room and beat him 'till the blood ran out of his ears!!

This country needs a lot less "lawyering" and a whole lot more broken noses. When did we get to the point that we have to take any kind of insult from any sorry SOB that decides to float a load of crap our way. BULL SHEET!!

President Trump showed remarkable restraint as far as I'm concerned. Hell .... I'd go so far as to say, "He was plum' Presidential!" :)

Acosta needs taught some manners ,period. With any news conference political, sports what ever. You get called on for a question. You get an answer and try for follow up once, after that you have to let it go. We have to be civil.
Film I saw last night was from back of the room. The president moved on 4 times. and someone reached for the mike 3. Absolutely revoke his pass.

Drag him outside and pistol whip him like the Gestapo? That’s pretty American.

How about keeping your cool and systematically destroying his argument instead of flipping your lid? That’s how you keep a disruptive press Corp at bay.

When you stoop to their level, you’re no better than they are.

Taking your hands to somebody and pushing their arms away is technically assault imho. We saw that differently, he needed a man to step up and break his nose.
She reached in and initiated the contact. Twice in fact. Physically, he did nothing too her and you would never get that as an assault charge in any court.
