Church vs State. NO EASTER HUNTING

31st spring huntin season starting for the boys in a few days. and this will the FIRST TIME in my hunting career that not only easter sunday we will not be spending sunrise PRIOR TO MASS and Easter Dinner ZERO states that we can get close to and hunt. OH/KY/WV/IN etc. there isn’t a state one close that we can make an Easter weekend hunt. we used to hunt multiple states every weekend from the end of March to Memorial day weekend. this year will the first we EVER hunt in June as my oldest drew a MI out of state tag that we hunt in the upper part of MY June1-June7.

VERY VERY frustrated but ALOT of people came togther. fought the state. complained how the easter weekend wasn’t fair they couldn’t hunt and absolutely blasted a father/son combo here in the N$!S and got it to where they took our Easter Sunday Tradition of watching the sunrise hunt flydown time , GO TO CHURCH and Easter Dinner. but they couldn’t figure that out so we got our Easter flydown hunt took.

Easter varies between march 23- april 25. (Do you happen to know why?) Kinda tough to accommodate. I dont think anyone is out to get you on this one.

Ky youth has to the best of my memory always been the first weekend of April and state wide for the longest time either opened on the 15th or the Saturday closest to the 15th. Ky does not close season for chuch it just never had a season open second weekend unless that was the Saturday closest to the 15th. Its Easter that moves not the season in KY no KY petition.
