My son is an engineer at a coal fired power station. He supports research into all types of green energy, but he says that there is no way that today's technology will allow green energy to produce the power we need to keep everyone's refrigerators, furnaces and air conditioners running on a daily basis - much less during peak periods.

Californians - who are all so concerned about their carbon footprint - should pass one of their "Props" that outlaws heat and air conditioning.

I think during high winds the power lines touched causing sparks that started the fire

They blamed it because those things were built under circumstances that are not here any more "because of climate change".

NO, it was not climate change but POPULATION CHANGE. The population has grown to 3 times the size it was when those things were built and now they are trying to handle 3 times the amount of energy they were designed for.

Go to your own house fuse box and keep trying to FORCE it to handle 3 times the amount of electricity it was designed for and watch how many times it catches fire. It is that simple. We've been talking about the AGING INFRASTRUCTURE for years, Power infrastructure, Highway, Bridges, Railways, etc, etc. The population keeps growing and growing and we build new roads, powerlines, etc. We build a new subdivision with new homes and new roads but the main highway was build 50 years ago and we only keep resurfacing it and now it's handling 3 times the amount of people. We never go back and rebuild the main parts where it all comes from. It has nothing to do with climate change.

  7. One of the problem in Kommiefornia is the tree huggers won’t let them cut down so much as a dead sapling.

  9. It wouldn’t matter, their homes will be powered by the best natural gas powered generator money can buy.

Fruits of fools. They'll want US taxpayers to bail them out.

  13. I personally hope that private business continues to develop alternative energy sources that don’t pollute or break the bank BUT I don’t want it to be forced or coerced on us, at the expense of our economy and personal freedoms. The gooberment needs to stay the hell out of it.
