Starts tomorrow evening, anybody still go? When I was a teen and young man we were diehards, wading chest deep sometimes with the snakes to kill one. Rifle, gig or both, didn’t matter.

I didn't last year. My pond is small and I hit em hard the year before. I haven't heard many yet this year. If I start hearing several when the weather warms I'll get me a few.

Me and Jr and a couple buddies NEVER miss opening night! One of my favorite nights of the year.
SxS loaded down with gigs, .22s, CB caps, ratshot, a couple recurve bows, and a .17HMR for the floaters. Man I love it. It's hard on me anymore after working like a Hebrew all week, but I won't miss it. Took til damnear daylight last year to get 5 limits. I was a whooped pup for 3 days lol

Now I’m not one to judge but drinking, guns, dark, poor footing and kids adds up to a potential for disaster…with that said, we did a lot of the above in college pre-kid.

Gonna be worse tonight. I fired the plant up at work this morning at 2am. Got off at 4:30pm. Mowed 6 acres. Packed the weed eater around for while.
I'm dreading it, and too excited to be tired. We're packing up in the buggy at 10....
I remember those day's to nearly daylight the next morning but we got it done. Now hell I can't stay up past 9:00. lol

I remember we use to coon hunt up in Harrison co. This was late 80s. The property had 2 ponds. Man alive we would have so many it was hard to pack them. And they were all bigguns. Mom has an old pic somewhere of one night catch. I’ll post it if I can find it.

Yes it was. I would get out of school and dad would get off work about the same time and we would drive up that evening . Get to the cabin around 9-930.
