Browning TSS

Haven’t shot the browning, have shot the federal and BOSS. Federal 7’s and 7/9’s in my super Vinci w/ Indian creek choke make a mess of a gobblers head. In all honesty and really by mistake I rolled one at 75 steps Year before last. Just ordered 2 boxes of apex 7’s, 1 each of 7/9’s, 8 1/2, and 9’s.
I’m sure the brownings are good loads, if they perform right you’ll never go back to lead or hevishot.

 

Idk but I wish all brands would start making them so it would hopefully bring the price to reasonable rate...but I doubt it.

 

The high price is based on the shot try and buy tss to reload it’s very high. I bet brownings loads are good. Go buy the federal i posted about and try it for 2.50 for a less expensive option. Once you shoot the dense small shot you see what the rave is all about.

 

In the past they have been listed as higher than Federals, not sure about APEX. I’d definitely go with a quality brand like Browning if they were cheaper.

 

I would like to know what the tss shot are made of? Anyone know?

 

Tungsten

 

Federal tss patterns good, I expect the other brands do as well.

 

Lead melting point 621 F (327 C). Tungsten is 6150 F (3399 C. There goes making my own. Thermite would not burn through this stuff

I bought 410 TSS 9s about a week or so ago. Not even sure if they had Browning then. I got them from Rogers. They may be cheaper in 12/20.

 

Not many places around here to buy shells; I was thankful to score on a box of Winchester XX 3” #6 at my nearest rural king today. That’ll do me a few years.

 

Just ordered a couple boxes of the browning 3 inch 7/9 shot tss to try this spring. Also got some federal 20g tss for a new project single shot 20g
