Very cool. I assume you drilled a hole through the bottom of the bottle?

Where'd you get the Woodford bottle?

Yes. And connected it to the wood with a bolt. Also a hole out the back for the cord. The wood is part of an oak pallet I pulled out of a dumpster

So drilling the glass wasn’t an issue? Do you have a drill press? I’d like to make my dad one for Christmas.

I bought a set of diamond tip bits from Amazon and just used my regular drill.

Don't have a press, but I wrapped the bottle in towels and put it in my vise. You have to cut a sponge in a V shape, and wrap it around the bit, squeezing out water as you drill. It takes a little while to get it started, but works pretty well. I did break the first bottle I tried.

If anyone goes on the bourbon tours, if you ask they will give empty bottles away, at least they were that day

Nice job on the lamp and I hear Woodford ain't cheap. I've never drilled into glass.

Wife did these 2 a couple years ago for the man cave! They are done with the 1.75 handles.
