SS&S!!! Words to live by.
I think it was on the Refuge where I read about a guy from Texas. Hit an owl with his truck.. It stuck in the grill. He took pictures and posted it online... Feds showed up causing much aggravation..
I saw one "on the ground" once and was struck by how Small the Body is on them. All Legs, Beak, and Wings. Not much in between.
Something like this might work .... if it were legal to use it ....
^...Might launch a frog or two.
Meanwhile, I could see this or one like it working perfectly fine, but I would simply have a motion detector rigged to it, if any critter other than a gator became an issue and failed to respond to a water fountain with motion detection.
We found one that choked to death trying to swallow a yellow belly catfish in our pond when I was a kid. One of it's pec fins was poking out if the herron's neck.
Served it right. I wish I could get some fresh water puffer fish
the ones I see are always around water looking for aquatic meals. Wish they would get in the grass and get the mice
mice an moles.
Yeah thats a good point. isn't like they can go to the grocery store at any time.
When I was a kid my parents took me to Mammoth Cave and as we were driving into the park a ranger pulled us over. He informed my dad that there was a cardinal stuck to the grill of his car and chewed him out for hitting it and threatened him with some kind of outragious fine. I was in shock my dad stayed as calm as he did, not his style at all.
Lol, could you imagine how hard it would be to try and hit a bird ON PURPOSE with a car??!
the ranger was a jerk. a fine for not knowing ya hit a bird an its still in your grill.
