Blue heron = mice eating machine

    I think it was on the Refuge where I read about a guy from Texas. Hit an owl with his truck.. It stuck in the grill. He took pictures and posted it online... Feds showed up causing much aggravation..

    I saw one "on the ground" once and was struck by how Small the Body is on them. All Legs, Beak, and Wings. Not much in between.

    ^...Might launch a frog or two.

    Meanwhile, I could see this or one like it working perfectly fine, but I would simply have a motion detector rigged to it, if any critter other than a gator became an issue and failed to respond to a water fountain with motion detection.

    We found one that choked to death trying to swallow a yellow belly catfish in our pond when I was a kid. One of it's pec fins was poking out if the herron's neck.

    the ones I see are always around water looking for aquatic meals. Wish they would get in the grass and get the mice
