There are a couple of members that have tracking dogs. Do a search for “tracking dog” and you should be able to find them.

I believe allseasonhunter has a bloodhound. A few others, but their handle escapes me now. Allseasonhunter posts the most about tracking it seems like.

What is your preference, fixed or mechanical? What is you least favorite brand?....be honest!

I’d knock on doors and ask around. I wouldn’t think people would get too tore up with you laying down a mock blood trail out in a field.

You might also look into the blood tracking hunt tests. A member was posting about it a few months back.

Or get one of the GPS phone apps and look for public land. It might be off limits to hunting, but okay for laying down a blood trail. I’d just say I was “training” my dog if anyone asked

Raven has not been on the forum for awhile. Just did not want you to think he was ignoring you lol. Im not sure if the regs he was quoting have changed or not either but as stated there are a few fellas that were helping folks out with tracking.

I'm over by Carter County (east), but if you would like to come here I can get you started and show you how to go about it. I have 2 Drahthaars both blood track trained. Once you've seen how I set mine up you can do so in your area either on public forest or knock on some doors as suggested.

My adult dog is already trained I have 14 years of tracking i just have a new pup that needs training. This development has house next to house not a good spot to train

Did you. Ask me about broadheads? I have documented over 2000 calls on broadheads I would need o start a thread for my info i have gathered
